An Oscar-wannabe that didn’t make the cut and is being released in mid-August hoping to find a small audience.

A generally well-made but ultimately unsurprising excursion into the supernatural.

Run Time: 1:47
U.S. Release Date: 2017-10-13
MPAA Rating: "PG"
Genre: Drama
Director: Simon Curtis
Cast: Domhnall Gleeson, Margot Robbie, Kelly MacDonald, Will Tilston, Alex Lawther

Although hewing close to the established facts, the movie amps up the sentimental content for maximum effect.

Despite not aging well, "The Graduate" remain worth seeing primarily for Anne Bancroft’s performance but also as a time capsule looking at a lifestyle that would soon disappear.

Run Time: 2:31
U.S. Release Date: -
MPAA Rating: "NR"
Genre: Drama
Director: Cecil B. DeMille
Cast: Charlton Heston, James Stewart, Betty Hutton, Cornel Wilde, Dorothy Lamour, Gloria Grahame, Lawrence Tierney, Bob Carson

Not a bad movie but the passage of time hasn’t been kind to it. The things that made it popular upon its release either don’t apply or don’t work for a 2018 audience.

A generic espionage/crime thriller; although briskly paced, the plot is far from airtight and demands a deus ex machina to reach its climax.

Overlong, talky, filled with meta references, and with a strangely low-energy tone, the movie never fully gels.

Run Time: 1:38
U.S. Release Date: 2019-03-01
MPAA Rating: "R" (Violence, Gore, Profanity)
Genre: Horror/Thriller
Director: Neil Jordan
Cast: Isabelle Huppert, Chloë Grace Moretz, Maika Monroe, Colm Feore, Stephen Rea

Little more than a B-movie with strong production values and an eclectic cast, this is far from Jordan at his best.

Run Time: 1:57
U.S. Release Date: 2019-10-11
MPAA Rating: "PG-13" (Violence, Profanity)
Genre: Sci-Fi/Action
Director: Ang Lee
Cast: Will Smith, Clive Owen, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Benedict Wong, Douglas Hodge

Can’t make up its mind whether it wants to be a popcorn thriller or something with an existential bent, and isn't fully satisfying as either.
