After 40 years and four movies, "Ghostbusters" is starting to feel as long-in-the-tooth as the returning members of the main cast.

It is a shame that, for all the good things "Love Lies Bleeding" does, the ending is such a complete disaster.

It is never a good sign when any documentary elements of a bio-pic are more arresting than the dramatized portions.

"Madame Web" is another example of a comic book movie no one was clamoring for.

"Lisa Frankenstein" is a bad Tim Burton movie with two unlikable main characters.

The haphazard fashion in which the movie has been assembled argues that this should have been left on the stage where a live production can cover all manner of missteps.

MPAA Rating: "PG-13" (Disturbing Images, Violence)
Genre: Horror
Director: Bryce McGuire
Cast: Wyatt Russell, Kerry Condon, Amelie Hoeferle, Gavin Warren

The movie is at its best when it is content with being atmospheric and spooky. As soon is it starts explaining things, the story goes down the drain.

Feels like it was mostly constructed in post-production, with CGI working hand-in-hand with editing to fashion something borderline-coherent.

MPAA Rating: "R" (Bloody Violence, Drugs)

"Silent Night" is the antithesis of fun. Whatever the director is trying to do with the movie, it makes it for one big lump of coal in the 2023 cinematic stocking.

This may be the worst major animated film Disney has released in the past 40 years and its lack of creative energy doesn’t augur well for the immediate future.
