Run Time: 1:37
U.S. Release Date: 2021-02-26
MPAA Rating: "PG-13" (Profanity, Adult Themes)
Genre: Drama
Director: Florian Zeller
Cast: Anthony Hopkins, Olivia Colman, Imogen Poots, Rufus Sewell, Mark Gatiss, Olivia Williams

An excellent movie but not a lot of fun to watch, especially for those with first-hand experience in this area.

Run Time: 1:40
U.S. Release Date: 2020-11-13
MPAA Rating: "R" (Violence)
Genre: Action/Comedy
Director: Eshom Nelms, Ian Nelms
Cast: Mel Gibson, Walton Goggins, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, Chance Hurstfield, Robert Bockstael

There are indications the filmmakers think they’re operating in the realm of satire but the movie gets lost in action/thriller territory that’s anything but thrilling.

It’s the words of the men and women giving their “final account” that makes the movie sufficiently important to warrant viewing.

Run Time: 2:09
U.S. Release Date: 2020-10-09
MPAA Rating: "R" (Profanity, Sexual Content)
Genre: Comedy/Drama
Director: Radha Blank
Cast: Radha Blank, Oswin Benjamin, Peter Y. Kim, Reed Birney, Imani Lewis, Haskiri Velazquez

First-time director Radha Blank's infectious sense of energy and passion infuses every frame and gets the viewer through the slow parts.

Although the movie leaves a lot of stones unturned (both in the comedy and horror arenas), there’s enough spattered blood to satisfy fans.

The overpolished screenplay and overuse of directorial flourishes hamper the viewer’s enjoyment of what should have been a pretty straightforward caper-style crime film.

Run Time: 1:59
U.S. Release Date: 2020-12-18
MPAA Rating: "PG-13" (Disaster Sequences, Profanity, Violence)
Genre: Action/Adventure
Director: Ric Roman Waugh
Cast: Gerard Butler, Morena Baccarin, Roger Dale Floyd, Scott Glenn

In different times, it might have been possible to give "Greenland" a lukewarm recommendation for anyone looking for something frenetic and mindless.

Run Time: 1:31
U.S. Release Date: 2020-07-10
MPAA Rating: "PG-13" (War Violence, Profanity)
Genre: War/Thriller
Director: Aaron Schneider
Cast: Tom Hanks, Elisabeth Shue, Stephen Graham, Matt Helm, Rob Morgan, Travis Quentin

Hanks’ script is an example of economical storytelling and the end result is a thrilling 75 minutes of the kinds of things one expects from well-made submarine movies.

Provides nearly three hours of superior entertainment both for those who consider themselves devotees and those without previous viewing experience.

This movie will likely go down as the definitive documentary about Herb Alpert and, as such, it’s not a bad way to be remembered.
