The movie feels like what it is – a moderately low-budget action/adventure outing designed primarily for the Asian market.

Plodding, repetitive, replete with technobabble nonsense and lifeless action, this is easily the worst-written of any of the 20 to-date MCU offerings.

"The Commuter" delivers exactly what’s advertised – a turn-off-the-brain action film starring Liam Neeson that doesn’t moralize or overplay its hand.

Mired in clichés with a narrative constrained by a bland and generic structure.

As the credits roll with most of the major plot threads unresolved, the frustration is palpable when one recognizes that there will be no second installment.

In many ways a throwback, which would be okay if there wasn’t already an okay version of the same story kicking around from the 1970s .
