It’s more of the same: Violence-saturated eye candy used to buff Smith’s ego and inflate his bank account.

Run Time: 1:28

MPAA Rating: "NR" (Gore, Disturbing Images)
Genre: Horror
Director: Jeffrey A. Brown
Cast: Liana Liberato, Noah Le Gros, Jake Weber, Maryann Nagel

The characters are generic and uninteresting and that neuters tension and suspense.

A brand of exploitation that feels surprisingly fresh considering how many tropes it recycles.

Run Time: 1:48
U.S. Release Date: 2020-11-22
MPAA Rating: "NR" (Profanity)
Genre: Documentary
Director: R.J. Cutler
Cast: John Belushi, Judith Belushi-Pisano, Dan Aykroyd, Jim Belushi, John Landis, Harold Ramis, Carrie Fisher, Chevy Chase

Although "Belushi" doesn't provie new or groundbreaking information, it gets closer to bringing to life the late comedian, with all his demons, than any previous attempt.

Silly, dumb, and completely nonsensical – exactly what one could reasonably expect from the movie and what the fans (given a choice) would demand.

A glorious, hyperkinetic mess and, although it never quite takes flight, it at least holds the attention.

Run Time: 1:44
U.S. Release Date: 2020-12-04
MPAA Rating: "R" (Profanity, Sexual Content, Drugs, Nudity)
Genre: Drama
Director: Lawrence Michael Levine
Cast: Aubrey Plaza, Sarah Gadon, Christopher Abbott

Represents a showcase for Aubrey Plaza, allowing viewers to see the breadth of her talent.

With a paint-by-numbers storyline and lackluster villain, the chief pleasures come from Scarlett Johansson, Florence Pugh, and David Harbour.

With too little emphasis placed on and exploring the rich possibilities of the milieu, the movie turns into a ho-hum Vin Diesel action film.

Relies on old-fashioned movie elements like atmosphere, character development, and narrative arc without needing crutches like fast editing, frenetic action sequences, and visual clutter.
