A parable about the redemptive power of love, it's too long and many of its beats have been appropriated from other movies about Southern racism.

A stronger focus on story and tone and less reliance on the marvels of CGI might have made this latest version of "The Call of the Wild" a more fruitful experience.

Kristin Stewart gives a strong performance as Jean Seberg but the screenplay traps her in a story that’s less interesting than it should be.

A glorious, hyperkinetic mess and, although it never quite takes flight, it at least holds the attention.

The overpolished screenplay and overuse of directorial flourishes hamper the viewer’s enjoyment of what should have been a pretty straightforward caper-style crime film.

Will likely satisfy audiences who go in with appropriately established expectations because, for what it is, the film is solidly entertaining.

Although "Terms of Endearment" may be a passable way to spend a couple of hours, to label it as the Best Picture of 1983 (or any year) is a miscarriage.

An individual’s appreciation may rest on a previous love of the stage play; others are more likely to throw up a hairball than purr in contentment.
