"Allegiant" exemplifies what happens when a book or movie exists solely for the purposes of placating fans and maintaining a revenue stream.

This may be the first time I have seen something make "Freddy Got Fingered" look classy.

Take away the anti-climactic final act and this is an effective white-knuckle psychological thriller.

There’s a lot here for kids to like and nearly as much to keep parents from fidgeting.
